In 2012, we moved into our current house. Our new neighborhood is known as the Halloween Neighborhood. This is because of the massive amount of people that visit our neighborhood on Halloween. We bought several pumpkins to decorate our front porch and look like we were ready for what was to come. After our first Halloween giving out over 1500 pieces of candy, we realized we were in for a real treat. The chaos of home improvements and the holidays had us leaving our pumpkins on the porch. Soon people were asking if we were going to throw them away since we had Christmas lights up and pumpkins do not really go with Christmas. Having a science background, I thought to myself, how long will these pumpkins last. So I left them. Eventually New Years came, Valentines, and St. Patricks Day came and out pumpkins still survived. Finally we made it to Easter and our pumpkins survived. This started a tradition of seeing how long the pumpkins can last and more importantly can they make it to Easter. This site is dedicated to seeing if we can make it from October to April.
